The most damaged part of the elevator is the automatic cabin doors. The most common problems are landing doors that do not close completely, doors that do not close at all, and the elevator does not move even though the doors are closed. It is possible to minimize these problems related to the elevator car door with the following methods.

  • First of all, no garbage should accumulate in the cabin side of the elevator and in the lower parts of the landing doors. The apartment attendant can regularly check and collect these garbage, which will prevent the door from closing.
  • If the automatic door sensors transmit a signal to the system that there is an obstacle for the door to close, the doors will not close and the system will not operate. Sometimes these sensors can be the root cause of the problem. Make sure that the electronic sensors are unobstructed and their lenses are not dirty.
  • Sometimes the elevator may not move even though there is no problem in the elevator system and the doors are working properly. The reason for this may be that the elevator buttons in the cabin or on the floors are non-contact. By removing the button panel, you can easily identify the non-contact buttons with a control pen.
